1-RULES

1.0 - Air Inter Virtual Airlines is a virtual civil air transport airline operating on the IVAO network http://www.ivao.aero and the VATSIM network https://www.vatsim.net, in agreement with the ARIT (Association of Former Air Inter Employees) http://www.anciensairinter.com/, and using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, FSX, MSFS2020, MSFS2024 and/or X-Plane as platforms.

1.1 - All contact with Air Inter Virtual Airlines is made through the website http://www.airinter-va.org via the “Contact us” section or by email : it001alex@airinter-va.org

1.2 - Decisions are taken in consultation among the staff members; in the event of a dispute, the final decision rests with the Director of the airline.

1.3 - All software (aircraft, panels, textures, scenery, software, etc.) made available to members through Air Inter Virtual Airlines (download or otherwise) is strictly reserved for company members and must be redistributed without prior consent for the VA Director.

1.4 - As the principle of Air Inter Virtual Airlines is based on trust, no cheating will be tolerated.

1.5 - In the event of cheating, the staff of Air Inter Virtual Airlines will take the appropriate measures (which may include exclusion of the person concerned); in the event of a dispute, the final decision rests with the Director of the airline.

1.6 - Under no circumstances may Air Inter Virtual Airlines, its Director and/or members of the staff and/or ARIT (Association of Former Air Inter Employees) be held responsible and/or prosecuted for any reason whatsoever.

1.7 - In the event of refusal, disobedience, cheating, bad faith or any other malicious act and/or behavior contrary to the MANEX and MANOPS regulations, or which may harm the brand image of Air Inter Virtual Airlines and/or ARIT (Association of Former Air Inter Employees) and/or Air Inter, sanctions will be taken by the staff members against the persons concerned (which may include exclusion); in the event of a dispute, the final decision rests with the Director of the airline.

1.8 - Reserved.

1.9 - While flying online, the rules of good conduct as well as all procedures described in the IVAO and VATSIM information and/or instruction manuals shall be followed.

1.9.1 - Each member undertakes to complete at least one flight (one PIREP filed and validated) every 60 days in order to maintain active member status. If no flight is validated within 60 days, the status will automatically become inactive and, in this case, the person concerned will be set aside from the VA (except for exceptional reasons and after mutual agreement of the staff). However, inactive members and/or those set aside from the VA may submit a request to regain active status within the VA (at the discretion of the staff members and depending on the motivation of the requesting member).
 
1.9.2 - Each member agrees to use the automatic flight reporting system (ACARS). In cases of impossibility (e.g., ACARS program incompatible with the simulator used, etc.), the flight report must be submitted manually via the Operations Control Center - OCC.
 

1.9.3 - Minimum required hours to progress through the different periods and access the 2 subsidiaries:

  • Newly hired pilot: The newly hired pilot is on probation for the first 10 flight hours
  • Flight Engineer: 10 flight hours
  • First Officer: 100 flight hours
  • Captain: 200 flight hours
  • Instructor : 500 flight hours
     

1.9.4 - In addition to the minimum required flight hours, progression through the different periods may be done, if necessary, after consultation among staff members to evaluate, in particular:

  • Conduct on the IVAO and/or VATSIM network and overall motivation.
  • Respect for the brand image of Air Inter, Air Inter Virtual Airline, and ARIT.
  • Participation in VA life: network flights, Fly-ins, general presence (forum, Discord, etc.).
  • Compliance with company procedures (FOM/AOM) and IVAO/VATSIM procedures/regulations.
     

2-REGISTRATION

2.0 - Any person who applies may become a member of Air Inter Virtual Airlines. The applicant must demonstrate overall motivation, e.g. regularity and seriousness of flights, participation in VA life, forum activity, participation in fly-in events, general discussions, interest in Air Inter and aviation in general, etc...

2.1 - The Director of Air Inter Virtual Airlines reserves the right to admit a member, refuse an application, and/or dismiss a member if this proves necessary for the proper operation and/or brand image of Air Inter Virtual Airlines and/or ARIT (Association of Former Air Inter Employees) and/or Air Inter.


2.2 - After acceptance of the registration application, new members must register in the Operations Control Center - OCC.
They must also respect the following format for their username when registering on the Air Inter website (in order to facilitate recognition of each member connected to the ITVA site):

IT followed by the ID number (provided upon registration confirmation), followed by the first name (without spaces or special characters).
Example: IT001Alex

2.3 - After acceptance and confirmation of their registration, new members must subscribe to the Air Inter VA Newsletter (Newsletter tab on the main page of the ITVA site).

2.4 - Pilots are classified into three categories:
  • Flight Engineer: Corresponding to period 1 – 1982–1997
  • Co-pilot: Corresponding to period 2 – 1970–1981
  • Captain: Corresponding to period 3 – 1958–1969

2.5 - For members wishing to become instructors, the minimum requirements are as follows:

  • To have significant experience in virtual flight and on the IVAO or VATSIM network, to have completed specific training on the relevant aircraft type(s), and to have the agreement of all staff members.
    Or
  • To have real-world experience as a flight instructor (i.e. holding an ICAO instructor license).
    Or
  • To have been a real pilot or flight engineer with Air Inter.
     

3-ADMINISTRATION

3.1 - For administrative functions within Air Inter Virtual Airlines, only company management (commonly referred to as staff members) may approve or refuse recruitment. Any recruitment will be made public through the website and/or the forum and/or the “Air Inter Newsletter” and/or by email.


3.2 - After receiving flight reports, the company will update, within a maximum of 7 days (except in cases of force majeure), the website, the various required processing tasks, and will validate (where applicable and after verification) the PIREP reports.

3.3 - If necessary and/or upon request to a staff member, an exemption for all or part of one or more clauses of these regulations may, after acceptance, be granted.

3.4 - Air Inter Virtual Airlines will keep its members informed of all decisions taken and of company news, its relationships, partnerships, virtual customer demand, etc., through the website and/or the forum and/or the “Air Inter Newsletter” and/or by email.

3.5 - Air Inter Virtual Airlines reserves the right to modify, add, suspend one or more clauses of these regulations and/or parts of the website and/or the status of one or more members, without prior notice.
